What is an Option?



普通股期權是賦予其持有者以在固定的日期(到期日)的當日或之前,按照約定的价 格 (執行价格)買進(如果是看漲期權)或者賣出(如果是看跌期權)一定數量標 的物的權利(并非義務)的合同。在這個固定日期之后,這個期權就不再存在。同 樣,在期權持有者的要求下,期權賣出者有義務在約定的价格賣給期權擁有者約定 數量的股票(如果是看漲期權),或者從期權擁有者手中買入約定數量的股票 (如果 是看跌期權)。

普通股期權通常代表100 股的標的物股票。

(或履行价格)是在期權合同執行的情況下,期權擁有者購買 (如果是看漲期權)或賣出(如果是看跌期權)的每股標的物的价格。 執行价格是期權合同的一項固定的指標。不應將其与權利金混淆。 權利金是期權交易的价格,每日浮動。

不同的价格區間,普通股期權的執行价格的單位增長為1,2,2 _, 5,或 10 點。

野i能對普通股期權合同的大小和(或者)執行价格進行調整以适應股票的分裂或合并。

一般地說, 在任何時間,擁有四個到期日之一的某一普通股期權可被購買。

普通股期權的擁有者不享有股票擁有者所享有的權利。這些權利包括投票權,定期的 現金或特別股息等等。看漲期權的擁有者必須執行期權并 擁有標的物的股票以擁有 這些權利。

交易市場中,所有的交易是以拍賣市場中的競爭方式進行的。交易市場中的買家和 賣家确定期權价格。
